Dear Parishioners,
We will begin offering public Mass this Saturday, June 6th at 4:30 PM. The parish will follow the regular weekend schedule with Masses offered on Sunday at 7:30 AM, 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Following the rules set out by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and Pennsylvania during this time of the yellow phase of the Coronavirus, the following procedures and norms will be implemented:
- The faithful continue to be dispensed by the Archbishop from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation
- All who enter the church must wear a face mask. Those who do not are asked to sit in the choir loft or the sacristy
- Those who are sick or compromised due to health conditions are asked to please stay home
- Live streaming Mass will continue at 11:30 AM on Sunday
- Parishioners are encouraged to bring their hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes
- Gatherings of members of the congregation are not to take place before or after Mass for any reason
- Because singing places the faithful at risk, only the Cantor will sing the parts of the Mass.
- Parishioners are to sit in open pews. You will see that every other pew is closed off with blue tape
- Members of the same household do not have to observe social distancing
- Social distancing will be observed for the distribution of Holy Communion: all receive by coming to the center aisle and returning by a side aisle
- Out of necessity to avoid a real risk of infection with Covid-19, communion is to be distributed in the hand at this time. Given the configuration of the church, it is impossible to provide a separate communion station for the distribution of communion on the tongue.
- Parishioners are to remove their face masks for the reception of Holy Communion. Parishioners may remove their face covering or mask only after they have left the church.
We are delighted to welcome you back to the celebration of the Mass and to your return to worship the Lord with us. If you have any questions, please respond to this email and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you.
